Meet Shanita, the founder and CEO of Brownstone Counseling, LLC. Shanita is a seasoned psychotherapist with nearly two decades of experience transforming lives. Shanita began her career in 2006 as a in-home therapist. From there, she worked as a child and adolescent psychologist and served as a school social worker for Chicago Public Schools for 8 years. After having many wonderful memories at CPS, she pursued her goal as an independent contractor and started Brownstone Counseling. Shanita is a proud honors graduate at Chicago State University. In addition, she attended Jane Addams College of Social Work at UIC, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work.
Shanita has dedicated her life to guiding children and adults through their unique challenges. With a compassionate approach and a wealth of knowledge, Shanita creates a safe space for her clients to explore their struggles and discover pathways to healing. She believes in the power of resilience and is passionate about helping individuals break free from their obstacles to embrace a more fulfilling life.
